Jewelry Repair & Restoration in Toms River, NJ

Your family jeweler since 1964 — in-house repairs by our own bench, fair pricing, free estimates.

For 62 years, the people of Toms River and the surrounding Ocean County towns have been bringing their broken chains, loose stones, worn-out clasps, and heirloom pieces to Corinne Jewelers. We're a family jewelry store with our own bench in the back of the shop — which means when you hand us your piece, it stays with us. It doesn't get boxed up and shipped out to a stranger three states away. It stays under one roof, with people who do this every day and treat your jewelry the way they'd want their own mother's treated.

Built on a team that does this every day

Every repair at Corinne Jewelers is handled by people who do this work for a living. Our sales associates greet you at the counter, take in the piece, write up the work order, and walk you through the estimate. Our in-house bench jewelers — with decades of combined experience on rings, chains, stone settings, and restoration — do the actual repair work. And behind the scenes, our Service Coordinator Kat keeps every job moving, tracks the turnaround promise, and makes sure your piece comes back the way it should. You get a team, not a single hand-off.

How our repair process works

  1. Bring it in — walk-ins welcome during business hours, no appointment needed for most repairs
  2. One of our associates evaluates it at the counter — together, with you watching. We'll explain what we see and what the piece needs.
  3. You get a written estimate and a promised pickup date — every time, before any work begins
  4. Our in-house bench does the work — it stays in the store. Nothing gets shipped out. You can come by and see it on the bench if you want.
  5. We call you when it's ready — typically within 1–2 weeks for most standard repairs; sized rings and stone work often same week
  6. Final inspection at pickup — the team member who handled your repair walks you through the finished piece

There are quicker mall-kiosk repair counters and there are repair-by-mail services. Both have their place. What we offer is different:

  • In-house bench, every job — your piece never leaves the store
  • Real people who stand behind the work — our sales team, our bench jewelers, and the Blumenthal family running the store
  • Free estimates, always — bring it in, get a number, walk out with the piece if it doesn't work for you
  • 62 years of trust — three generations of Toms River customers have brought their pieces here
  • 1,367+ five-star Google reviews — repair customers leave more reviews than any other kind, and ours are overwhelmingly positive

Turnaround & pricing

Most standard repairs (ring sizing, stone tightening, chain soldering, clasp replacement) are done within 1–2 weeks. Same-week turnaround is often possible on simple work. Restoration and custom-fabrication work takes longer — we'll give you a real timeline up front, not a promise we can't keep. Pricing is straightforward: we quote in writing before any work begins, the number doesn't change after the fact, and we'll tell you honestly if a repair isn't worth doing.

We're the in-house jewelry repair shop for Toms River, Beachwood, Brick, Lavallette, Whiting, Manchester, Jackson, Forked River, Barnegat, Manahawkin, Little Egg Harbor & Tuckerton, and the rest of Ocean County. Most of our repair customers drive 5–25 minutes to reach us. We're at 917 N Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment to bring in a repair?

No — walk-ins are welcome any day during business hours for most repairs. For complex restoration, antique pieces, or insurance-claim work, calling ahead lets us reserve dedicated time for a proper evaluation.

How much does a jewelry repair cost?

It depends entirely on the piece and the work. We quote every repair in writing, at the counter, before any work begins — and the number doesn't change after the fact. Most ring sizings, clasp replacements, and stone tightenings fall in a predictable range; restoration and custom fabrication are quoted case by case. Estimates are always free.

How long does a repair take?

Most standard repairs are done within 1–2 weeks. Same-week turnaround is often possible on simple work like clasp replacement or stone tightening. Restoration, complex stone setting, and pieces that need outside work (rare for us) take longer — we'll give you a real timeline at intake.

Do you repair jewelry that wasn't bought at Corinne Jewelers?

Yes — most of the repairs that come through our bench are pieces bought elsewhere, including pieces inherited or received as gifts. The piece doesn't need to have come from our store for us to take care of it.

Is the repair work done in-house or sent out?

In-house. Our bench is in the back of the store, and our jewelers are our employees. Your piece does not get boxed up and shipped to a third party. The rare exception is highly specialized work (certain antique restorations, factory-only watch movements) — and if we ever need to send something out, we tell you that up front before you leave the store.

Can you repair antique or heirloom jewelry?

Yes — and we're careful about it. Antique and heirloom pieces often have construction techniques and materials that need a different touch than modern work. We'll sit down with you, talk through what the piece is and what it needs, and tell you honestly whether we should proceed or recommend a specialist.

Do you offer repair while I wait?

Generally, no — our repair process is too involved for that. Every piece gets a proper evaluation, time on the bench with the right jeweler, and a final inspection before it comes back to you. If you're working against a real deadline — a wedding, a trip, a gift date — ask us at intake. We can sometimes move work up the queue when there's a real need, and we'd rather give you a straight answer about what's possible than rush a job and miss something.

Do you guarantee your repair work?

Yes. Every repair we do is guaranteed against workmanship defects. If a stone we set comes loose, a solder joint we made fails, or any part of our work doesn't hold — bring the piece back and we make it right. That's part of why people trust us with their jewelry for generations.
