Three excellent options, one exceptional jeweler.

If you spot something captivating in our showcases or dream of a bespoke creation, we offer an enticing deal: we'll pay you 20% more for your fine jewelry when you apply your cash to a store credit toward a new piece of jewelry.

We're particularly interested in purchasing larger diamonds (1 carat or more) and estate pieces. When you sell to Corinne Jewelers, you'll receive the highest level of personalized attention and a no-commitment evaluation before we make an offer.

Now is an opportune time to sell with gold and precious metal prices relatively high!

  • Platinum
  • Diamonds (1 carat or more)
  • Estate Jewelry

INTERESTED IN SELLING?

Here’s what you need to know.

When you decide to sell, we will meet for a careful evaluation of your jewelry. Most gold jewelry falls into the 10K, 14K, or 18K categories, with 24K being the purest and highest quality gold. The value decreases as the karat number drops.

Here’s what's important to understand: the prices of precious metals fluctuate daily, while a natural diamond value tends to be more subjective. There's no fixed daily price for diamonds, which underscores the importance of selling to someone you trust to provide a fair valuation. With natural diamonds, we'll conduct thorough due diligence and an appraisal to ensure transparency.

We do not purchase lab-grown diamonds.

Gold & Diamond Buying FAQ

How does selling gold jewelry work at Corinne Jewelers?

It's simple and pressure-free. Bring your gold, platinum, or diamond jewelry to our Toms River location. One of our GIA-certified experts will examine your pieces, explain the evaluation process, and make you a fair offer on the spot. There's no commitment — if you're not satisfied with the offer, you're free to leave with your items. The entire process typically takes about 15-30 minutes. For a deeper look at today’s gold market, read our article: Gold Just Hit $5,000 an Ounce.

What types of gold and precious metals do you buy?

We purchase all karat weights of gold jewelry including 10K, 14K, 18K, and 24K gold, as well as platinum pieces. This includes rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, broken jewelry, single earrings, dental gold, and gold coins. We evaluate each item based on its weight, karat purity, and current precious metal market prices.

How do you determine the value of my gold jewelry?

We use a transparent, multi-step process. First, we test the karat purity of your gold using professional assay methods. Then we weigh your pieces on a certified scale. The value is calculated based on the current day's gold spot price, the weight, and the purity of your items. Precious metal prices fluctuate daily based on global markets, so the value of your gold can change from day to day. We always explain exactly how we arrived at our offer.

Do you buy diamonds? What size diamonds do you purchase?

Yes, we are particularly interested in purchasing natural diamonds of 1 carat or more. Unlike gold, diamond values are more subjective and depend on the 4 Cs — cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. Our GIA-certified gemologists will conduct a thorough evaluation and appraisal to ensure a fair and transparent offer. We also purchase estate diamond jewelry regardless of the individual diamond size.

Do you buy lab-grown diamonds?

No, we do not purchase lab-grown diamonds. We only buy natural diamonds. If you're unsure whether your diamond is natural or lab-grown, our gemologists can help you determine its origin during your visit. Learn more in our guide to natural vs. lab-grown diamonds.

Do I need an appointment to sell my jewelry?

While walk-ins are welcome during our regular business hours (Tuesday through Friday 10am–6pm, Saturday 10am–5pm), we recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure a dedicated specialist is available for your evaluation. You can contact us at (732) 244-4464 or use our online scheduling to book a convenient time.

Will I receive payment right away?

Yes. If you accept our offer, you'll receive payment immediately. We offer cash on the spot for your gold, platinum, and diamond pieces — there's no waiting period or delayed payment.

Can I get more value through store credit instead of cash?

Absolutely! We offer 20% more when you apply your payout as store credit toward a new piece — from engagement rings to custom designs of jewelry. This is a great option if you're looking to upgrade, trade in an old piece for something new, or put the value toward a custom design. Many customers choose this option to get the most out of their unwanted jewelry.

What should I bring when selling my jewelry?

Simply bring the jewelry you'd like to sell. If you have any original documentation such as diamond certificates (GIA, AGS, etc.), appraisals, or receipts, those can be helpful but are not required. Our experts will conduct their own professional evaluation regardless. A valid photo ID is required to complete the transaction.

Why should I sell to Corinne Jewelers instead of a pawn shop or online buyer?

As a family-owned jewelry store serving Toms River since 1964 with three generations of GIA-certified expertise, we offer several advantages: transparent evaluations you can watch in person, competitive prices based on real-time market rates, immediate cash payment, the option for 20% more in store credit, and the trust that comes with over 60 years of community reputation. Unlike pawn shops, jewelry is our sole expertise, and unlike online buyers, you never have to mail away your valuables.
